Wei    MAO

Wei was born in 1990 in Zhengzhou, China. She started playing violin at 6. After successfully passing the diploma "DEM" with High Honors in Paris, she studied at the HEM in Geneva, while simultaneously starting her career as a soloist, with a lot of success. Her travels allowed her to connect with prestigious musicians.

She performed on stage with outstanding classical musicians - Bernard Cazauran and Richard Schmoucler from the Paris Orchestra, as well as musicians from the Macao Orchestra - either as a soloist or as a part of chamber music ensembles. She's regularly invited to perform in China, especially pieces like the Violin Concerto Butterfly Lovers by Gang Chen and Zhanhao He, Macabre Danse by Saint-Saëns, Mozart's Violin Concertos... and many other masterpieces. She often performs with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Zhengzhou since 2017.

Passionate about teaching and sharing her love for Art, she gave masterclasses in the context of an International Educational Project supported by the International Chopin Festival in China.

As an entrepreneur, she created Muses Orchestra, an all-female string orchestra of 14 outstanding performers, already widely booked in Europe and Asia.
